Aprons & Appetizers | A 1950's Baby Shower

September 1, 2015

Baby showers are such a special way to join a mama in celebration of her soon-to-be-born baby bundle. I love watching a community of women surround their friend with love, advice, prayers, and gifts - especially when those gifts are pink!

Our guest of honor, Kessy, has a bit of a reputation for her love of the 1950's American culture. Morgan, Kessy's baby shower hostess, dug into some research on the 1950's and found that Aprons, Coca-Cola, and Twizzlers were some staple midcentury items.

And, here she is! The guest of honor, rocking her polka dotted apron and turquoise flats. Isn't she lovely?

Kessy's guests were thrilled to play into the 1950's theme by dressing in appropriate garb and sporting their aprons.

So. FUN. Kessy's baby girl is going to be born into such an encouraging and loving community!

Morgan, our beautiful hostess, provided a word-game packet for Kessy's guests to fill out. The first to complete her packet won a Coca-Cola themed prize! You better believe that guests were racing each other to complete those word games.

Kessy, I loved having the chance to celebrate the upcoming arrival of your baby girl with you. I can't wait to meet her!
